The actors union officiated in a private ceremony attended by family and friends. They also obtained a marriage certificate of a judge of California, where they have a property. The same judge conducted the wedding in France.
The couple's six children attended the ceremony. According to the spokesman, Jolie walked down the aisle with the older children, Maddox and Pax. Zahara and Vivienne threw petals while Shiloh and Knox carried the rings.
